In Bed With… Giovanna Ferrarezi

Giovanna Ferrarezi is a São Paulo native who loves travelling, eating, and telling stories. She runs the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle blog Radio Active Unicorns and is set to release her thrilling debut novel shortly. We caught up with Giovanna at The Cabanas at The Hollywood Roosevelt during her recent travels to Los Angeles to find out what living in Brazil’s vibrant center has taught her and what makes her happy.

My name is…
Giovanna Ferrarezi.

For work, I:
I’m a blogger and writer – my first book will be released next year! It’s gonna be a thriller novel and I am sooooo so excited about it!

When I’m not working, I like to:
Drink wine, go out for dinner, practice yoga and watch movies with my boyfriend and our baby wolf (not kidding, I own a baby wolf for real!).

Top three essential things to pack when travelling?
My GoPro to register every step, lots of lip balms as my mouth gets very dry in planes, and sneakers to stay comfy and have more fun during my trip.

First thing you pick from the mini-bar?
Water!

“I drink water like nuts, around three or four litres per day. I just don't know what happens to me, my mouth always feels like desert.”

What’s your favorite thing to indulge in on vacation?
Nothing makes me happier than to eat different kinds of food that I’m not used to having in my routine! And knowing new people, of course.

Most Instagram-worthy spot you’ve found at The Hollywood Roosevelt?
Definitely the pool! But I also loved the front of the hotel.

What’s your poolside style?
A brazilian bikini to get beautifully tanned!

What music is playing as the soundtrack to your stay?
Disclosure always gets me up during the day, and for relaxing, I’m loving Big Star.

What has living in São Paulo taught you?
São Paulo taught me that if I have a goal, I have to work hard for it. My city is full of talented young people and consequently, full of competition, so it is not easy to stay relevant if you don’t allow yourself fully to reach what you want. São Paulo also taught me that as much as I love to explore gastronomy around the world, our home food will always be the best one.

What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
“What people think about you is their problem, not yours”, and “you should try avocado toast.”

Lastly, what’s your favorite thing to do in bed?
Get lost in a good book and sleep with mouth open after hours of reading, hahaha.
