Public Kitchen & Bar launches a new winter menu

Critically-acclaimed brasserie Public Kitchen & Bar have announced a new season menu. The restaurant at The Hollywood Roosevelt continues to deliver a lavish array of eclectic American fare from executive chef Tim Goodell and his culinary team.

The new menu showcases fresh local produce and inspired flavors, and even keeps some classics like the Public burger around for winter months. The ever-popular burger comes complete with aged cheddar, bacon, caramelized onions, arugula on a brioche bun served with hand cut kennebec fries.

The chef’s selection of oysters, house-made charcuterie and artisanal cheeses are available day and night and are a perfect start to the festive season.

There’s choices of short rib ravioli and ahi tuna ceviche, but if you’re not sure exactly what you’ve got hankering for when lunch time rolls around then the half sandwich with salad or soup is the move. Choose the winter soup of butternut squash, kale and garbanzo to go alongside a shrimp po boy or the restaurant’s tried and true turkey sandwich. There’s options of kale or quinoa salad, a vegan cobb or a little gem caesar salad for those wanting something lean and green on the side.

At night, the luxurious small plate selection includes creamy burrata with smoked tomato broth, roasted bone marrow, paprika charred octopus with chorizo, and mini lobster rolls. Each one perfect alongside a cocktail.

If you’re planning on staying for dinner consider the porcini spaghetti carbonara with smoked pork belly and a poached egg or the seared diver scallops with wild mushroom risotto. For even more decadent fare, there’s a roasted half chicken with sweet potato gratin, snow crab mac and cheese, or a beef and veal bolognese.

For Christmas Day Tim’s put together a special brunch menu with holiday carvings alongside festive brunch selections like duck confit hash with a perfectly poached egg, fresh seafood, a medley of seasonal fruits, and much more. Bottomless mimosas are also in play for $20 to get you in the spirit.

Reserve a table for New Year’s Eve for a four-course dinner with friends. Appetizers include veal cheek ravioli, sun choke bisque, and pan seared crab cakes. Entree features roasted squab, butter poached halibut, and filet mignon. Then round out 2016 with your choice of one of four speciality desserts, lilke a chocolate mousse, pecan pie, or creme brûlée.

Located off the lobby of The Hollywood Roosevelt, Public Kitchen & Bar sets the scene for an eclectic-yet-relaxed dining experience. A 10% discount is offered to those dining with us from neighboring businesses such as J2 Global, Live Nation, Trailer Park, and Jimmy Kimmel.
