Kick off a summer of fun with “An Evening of Tiki” at The Hollywood Roosevelt’s best kept secret, The Spare Room. The monthly series, now in its 6th year, brings some of the world’s best bartenders together to sling tropical cocktails alongside The Spare Room’s esteemed bar director, Yael Vengroff.
The series kicked off on Wednesday, May 17 with The Aviary’s Micah Melton serving up his tiki-themed creations. “An Evening of Tiki” continues through September with a stellar lineup of guest bartenders including the World’s Best Bar award-winner Dead Rabbit and Seattle’s Navy Strength, joining Yael behind the bar to dole out their unique takes on the Tiki style.
Break out the floral print and get ready for an evening of revelry set to island-inspired music right in the heart of Hollywood.
The Spare Room’s 6th annual “An Evening of Tiki” kicks off on May 17 with Micah Melton from Chicago’s The Aviary. On June 15 find your paradise with Sly Augustin, William Pineapple and Erik Holmberg from London’s Trailer Happiness. July 12 sees Chad Austin and Tony Martinez from Palm Spring’s Bootlegger Tiki getting tropical. Anu and Chris Elford from Seattle’s Navy Strength will be bringing the party on August 9. And to close the series out on September 6 will be Jillian Vose and Jessica Friedman from New York’s Dead Rabbit, which was last year named the World’s Best Bar.
